Julie-sis Wedding

12/09/12(wedding day!)
So the farthest possible important event I can remember so far (and that I have pictures for) is my sister's wedding. I was really surprised when my sister asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I thought "really? are you serious?" Not that I didn't want to be one; I was just kind of shocked that I was gonna be a bridesmaid (first time btw). In terms of planning and prepping for parties and the big day as a bridesmaid, I kind of wish I could've done more for her. I think I relied on the other bridesmaids more than I should have. But, of course there was school and the other bridesmaids had work, so it was sometimes hard finding dates where we could all plan together. It was fun though; especially when we got to try on all those bridesmaid dresses.

Come wedding day:
I woke up super early for hair and make-up downtown. My mom and 6 other aunties were all getting their hair done at the same salon as well, so it was a busy day. We kind of ran late because of my mom and I but we got to our grandmas house on time for the tea ceremony and dimsum to eat. We prepared for the gate games for the groom and his party. We prepared chubby bunny, a questionnaire, and lastly, bidding for the bride. We had fun while the games lasted, but we were also cut short on time because the adults wanted to start the tea ceremony. Afterwards, we took more pictures and then left for the grooms house for their tea ceremony. Limo ride was cool :]

After the tea ceremony at the grooms house, we had some time to chill, so we went to the hotel a little earlier to chill in the nice hotel suite we reserved at the Kahala Hotel & Resort. Before the Reception, we took lots of formal pictures and had a bit of time to hang around. When reception started, I felt nervous as I walked closer to the crowd to stand in my place as a bridesmaid. When the whole bridal party was in place, Julie and William exchanged vows. It was a beautiful moment. We were very lucky it didn't rain out because the skies were getting dark and super cloudy.

Dinner time was very relaxing though. And I felt so special sitting at the bridal party table. It actually didn't feel as embarrassing as I thought it would be (probably because the table wasn't leveled - thank goodness).
Watching Julie and William share their ''first dance'' kind of made me tear a little. It was so elegant that it made me feel they were meant for each other and for that, I felt overjoyed to know that they found each other and will be together til death do they part.

After dinner, there was more chill time for me, except I had to make a few errands back to the hotel room, which wasn't the best idea because my heels were killing my feet by then and it was pretty cold outside. But I didn't complain of course; I just had that feeling that I did these things for her not only because I was her bridesmaid, but because I was her sister.
That night, we got to take home lots of pretty flowers; bouquets, flower basket displays, and centerpieces! They lasted for a good week and a half before they started drying out.

Lots to do! but Good experience!

Hello again Mr.Blog

Ahh, like Jess. M, I kind of miss blogging too. I just feel that I should be doing other things instead of putting so much time into this blog. Plus, no one ever really goes on anymore. But for some reason, while studying for BLAW midterm, I suddenly thought about my blogspot and I thought, it shouldn't matter if no one is reading my blog because the reason why I started one is because this was supposed to be my diary - somewhat. So I think I'll try write in it again and post pictures too if I have any.
