11/26/11
Sigh, I don't know why I feel so grumpy right now. I hate the feeling of being grumpy or upset over something because it makes me distressed. I mean, i know i'll get over it soon, but there's so much to complain about that I can't even explain it all. All I know right now is that I feel grumpy and frustrated. How can it be so hard to understand and communicate with each other!?! I give up.
Ok, calming down now..

Thanksgiving and Black Friday Craze
11/23/11
I actually had a one-day-early Thanksgiving dinner at my grandma's house. We had a nice big turkey, stuffing, ham, sweet yam, and salad. I'm really not a big fan of this kind of food, probably because I'm not used to eating this stuff. I didn't have a very good appetite today either.
I also painted my nails today and stayed up til 1am doing them xD
11/24/11 - 11/25/11
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanks for all the thanksgiving text msgs as well. I'm very thankful that I met you guys and you guys became a very important part of my life. I don't exactly believe that anything can last forever, but I sure hope that our friendship will.
It was nice that I got to sleep in today and I had dim sum with some of my family around 11am today for brunch down at the Chinese Cultural Plaza. Then I went on an adventure with my cousins trying to find the memorial we were all going to visit. We didn't know what the memorial was called, though we go there every once or twice a year. After trying to google the memorials down in Kaneohe we ended up going to the wrong memorial. Good thing the right one was only about 5 mins away xD
Everyone else was there already when we got there. We also didn't want them to know that we got lost and went to the wrong one; how embarrassing. It was funny though and still is lol.
In the afternoon, I went to Jess Ms house because we planned to make a cake or cupcakes for Kristine :3
We were originally supposed to meet at 2, but then it got pushed back to 2:30, which was when I arrived. Jess was still trying to clean her house, until her mom and dad came home. They were so nice to invite me to eat. Although I already at dim sum, I wasn't really full from that meal, so I was able to eat at Jess's house. I met her dad for the very first time. It was very nice to meet him :) The food was also good, although I felt like I was intruding their meal at first.
We finally got to baking around 5pm xD with Kelly and Jenny as well. We put in the wrong oil.. Of all the different oils we could've put in, we put in the expensive truffle oil, which had a very strong corn scent that was added to the cake mix. I then walked with Jess to Safeway for frosting, whipped cream, and ice cream. My parents were there for ice cream as well, so they dropped us off back at Jess's house so I could grab my stuff and go with them to the dinner at my aunt's. We had hot pot for our thanksgiving dinner and a lot of ice-cream for dessert :]
After dinner, I took a short nap and showered at my aunt's house. My uncle drove me home so that could change before walking to Tyler's house. We were running late according to our original plan, but it all turned out alright as usual. When we got to Reynold's house, his thanksgiving party was done and we got to play with Kuri (did I spell that right?) She's a very hyper dog that likes to lick people, but very cute. Even after everyone was there and ready to walk over to Waikele Shopping Center, we were watching the end of Wall-E on TV and wanted to finish it before going xD awesome movie.
We all walked as a group and it only took about 8 mins to walk there instead of driving and trying to find parking that would've cost us $5. We shopped around and most of us bought something. I bought converse that were light green from the Converse store. I later found out that they can glow in the dark; so cool! We also went into K-Mart for a snack at Little Caesars. I shared my order of Italian Cheese Sticks with Jess. I haven't had them in so long! They're super yummy and if you haven't tried them before, you must!
We then went to Ala Moana after walking back to Reynold's house to take a break. We got to Ala Moana around 2:30am and when I texted Vina, she had already finished shopping and left.
At Ala Moana, I bought sandals from Jeans Warehouse (hard to find my size there) and a hoodie from Aeropostale. I got a white one while Kris, Jess and Kelly all got different colors of the same design. The price was $15 on the sign, but then we were only charged $12 for it! Awesome deal. And now we all have matching hoodies :3
Before leaving, we got breakfast from the food court. Then we went back to Tyler's house to eat and crash. We shopped around for a super long time and didn't get back to Salt Lake until 8:30am. I went home around 2pm and went to sleep until 8:30pm. I feel wide awake right now, but feel like I should sleep because I have to work tomorrow.

Alice & Henry's Wedding
11/20/11
Over a month ago, my family and I were invited to attend Alice & Henry's wedding dinner party at The Empress in the Chinese Cultural Plaza (2nd floor), where the bride is my sister's fiance's sister. At times I looked forward to going; I like weddings. When people get married, I just can't help but to feel very happy for them; it sometimes even makes me tear that they've found the person they've been searching for, and the person they'll be with for the rest of their life.
When the day came, I didn't feel like I wanted to go so much anymore because I don't know anyone there. Even my parents don't know anyone there. We sat in the first row of tables and our table only had 8 people, though each table was set for 10 persons. We sat with some local asian people who didn't speak Chinese, so it was hard for my parents to communicate with them. They just smiled at each other and offered more food and tea to be polite. There was so much food and we were sitting with some vegetarians and other picky eaters who weren't that into Chinese cuisine I guess xD So there was a whole of food left. I felt like we were wasting a lot of it.. but oh wells..
I didn't feel as lonely after knowing that my sister was sitting with us. After a while, I found out that I did know someone there other than William's family. I saw Wayon (which is one of WIlliam's cousins; he was actually sitting on the table diagonally from mines. I'll probably see him again at my sister's wedding. There were these kids sitting in the table in back of me and they were kind of irritating at some points.
The program started around 6:45pm and went on until 9:30pm. I got to try some champagne though. My dad got it for me and my sis. It tasted better than it smells. I like sparkling cider better though xD. I think the lady next to me mixed her champagne with lilikoi juice; it actually looked good.
I forgot my camera at home and my sister's camera ran out of battery, which made me really sad because there was nothing else to do... :( So i used my phone camera -_-

People were giving money to the lion's, so my parents did too.
I really liked the center piece too, it was very beautiful and elegantly designed, but very big and tall.

The Dog I Never Had
11/19/11
I'm not sure why I titled this blog "the dog i never had," though it's true that I've never had a dog. I also never really wanted a dog as much as my sister did. My sister came back to visit again! Also to attend William's sister's wedding. My sister and William also picked out their wedding date so they could start planning for the big day, which is said to be December 9, 2012 if no further date changes are made. It's gonna be one good thing after the other in the coming year :)
My sister arrived on 11/14/11 at night and leaves on 11/22/11 in the afternoon; longer than last time. She also brought her doggy, Bella! She's a real cutie. And funny too. In the past short days, I became best friends with Bella. For the first time, I took a dog out to pee and poop, took her out to walk around, and fed her doggy food&treats. She even wakes me up in the morning too, on days that I don't have early classes. She jumps up on my bed and starts running around like crazy, licking my face until I get up. She does the job better than an alarm clock for sure xD
I'm going to miss her so much!! I don't want her to leave :(
Love you Bella ;_;
I also went out to eat with my cousins at Gomaichi. We originally planned to go to Goma Tei at 7pm, but we changed it to 8pm at Gomaichi. It was my first time there. I got the Tan Tan Raamen; yummy soup base. After that, it rained during the ride home. Hope it doesn't rain like that tomorrow, even though the wedding is held indoors.

She has brown eye brows; my favorite feature of her besides her smooth and soft dog hair.
She's very lazy most of the time.

11-11-11
11/11/11
It turned out to be a happy Veteran's Day, since the weather wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We were still able to BBQ and have a pool party (sort of), except that it was at my apartment and not Jess Ms.
So in the morning, I woke up to Kelly's beautiful test message, but then found out that Jess M. could not get the community room at her apartment because her manager wasn't there, which we assume was because it was a holiday afterall. So then I went down to my manager's office and lucky me, he was there! And no one booked the community room, so I put in a $100 cash deposit for the room. He's a funny guy; he even asked me if my friends were wild and of course I gave an honest answer and said no. lol.
So then I went grocery shopping at Safeway with Kelly, Jess, Kevin, Darian and Reynold. If you think that's a lot, Tyler, Sean and John joined us a little while after we had just arrived at Safeway. So.. we were going all around the place looking for stuff we needed for the lunch BBQ. I charged everything on my card and totals came out to be ~$88. Not bad, not bad.
Though everyone arrived pretty on time, we had some running around to do in terms of getting stuff for the party. Half the guys started grilling the food around 1:30pm while some other guys were playing cards and the girls were chatting and making salad. We ended up eating around 3pm. Thanks to the guys who cooked the food! Very appreciative once again.
After lunch, all the guys went out to the pool. I went out with the girls for a while too, but then went back in to play Mario Kart. We just chilled in the party room until it was 6pm. Then we cleaned up and left. Thanks to everyone who helped to clean up the room too.
At first, I was a bit frustrated about what to do, because I've never been grocery shopping without my parents. I've never thrown a party without my parents either. Well, technically speaking, my mom did help cook the rice shred the carrots and cut tomato slices for the party. I really appreciate my mom for being a big help. I really felt like a big girl today, despite being unsure about what to do about a lot of things. I think I went up and down the building about 5 times throughout the whole party. Good thing I live on the 3rd floor.
Well, it was a good experience to plan this thing, but it was also pretty tiring.
Boo hoo, no pictures :( I felt so busy, I kept forgetting to bring my camera.
At 11:11pm, I made my wish. It's something possible; I hope it'll come true.

Halloween^^
10/31/11
It's that time of the year again. I like Halloween; not because it's scary, but because it gives you a reason to be someone you're not or normally not (just for this one day). I like cosplay. It's very fun :3
Around 6pm, most of us walked to Tyler's house together for the BBQ. Plans were originally made to go Waikiki, but there were a number of reasons that prevented that from happening. I like what we ended up doing though. Helping with cooking, playing truth or dare, and dressing up was fun with the gang.
